Makena Meeting Point

 

From South Maui (Kihei and Wailea):

Travel time approx: 15-20 minutes.

• Type in HONOIKI St on your GPS, we are at the bottom of Honoiki St. Proceed south to either Highway 31 (inland) or South Kihei Road (oceanside).

• You’ll run into the stoplight in Wailea that is in front of the “Shops at Wailea.”.

• Go South on Wailea Alanui Road, ocean on the right. Proceed 2.5 miles south and look for a blue sign that says “Makena Landing”, Hono’iki Rd. Turn right at the blue sign that says Makena Landing.

• Proceed to the bottom of the hill, turn right, and park anywhere.

From West Maui (Lahaina, Ka’anapali side):

Travel time approx: 50-70 minutes.

• Type in HONOIKI St on your GPS, we are at the bottom of the hill. Proceed down Highway 30 (Hanoapi’ilani Highway) to the intersection with North Kihei Road (Highway 31). Follow signs right towards Kihei, Wailea, Makena.

• Proceed South to the end of Highway 31 (Pi’ilani Highway), which terminates at a stoplight in Wailea at the bottom of a big hill.

• Go left at the stoplight onto Wailea Alanui Road. Proceed 2.5 miles south and look for a blue sign that says “Makena Landing”, Hono’iki Rd.

• Turn right at the blue sign that says Makena Landing.

• Proceed to the bottom of the hill, turn right, and park anywhere.

Olowalu Meeting Point

 

From West Maui (Kapalua, Ka’anapali & Lahaina):

Travel time approx: 20 minutes.

• Proceed South down Highway 30, watching the Mile Marker signs en route.

• Look for the restaurant Leoda’s at mile marker 15, near the fruit and smoothie stand, mountain side of the road.

• Continue a half mile past Leodas and pull in on the ocean side of the highway at around mile marker 14.5. You should see a truck with a trailer and kayaks.

From South Maui (Kihei and Wailea):

Travel time approx: 35 minutes.

• Head North on Highway 31 to the junction with Highway 30, near Ma’alaea Harbor.

• Go left towards Lahaina at the stoplight intersection.

• Pay close attention to the Mile Marker signs.

• After Mile Marker 14, look for a small beach on the ocean side of the highway at around mile marker 14.5. You should see a truck with a trailer and kayaks.
